4 Week Class – Level Two: From Skills to Garments

November 10 @ 5:45 pm - 8:00 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 5:45 pm on Tuesday, repeating until November 17, 2026

$225.00

This 4-Week small-group sewing course designed to help you move from practicing individual skills to confidently constructing your own wearable garment.

If you’ve taken From Dreaming to Doing or already feel comfortable using a sewing machine, this course is your next step. Together, we’ll bridge the gap between learning techniques and actually bringing a garment to life.

You’ll learn the core techniques needed to sew a woven fabric top and elastic waist pants, including seam finishes, gathering, hemming, and working with bias binding. You’ll also learn how to understand and follow a sewing pattern, choose the right size, and make simple adjustments for fit.

You’ll practice these skills through guided exercises, then apply them to a full project. You can choose to make either the top or a pair of elastic waist pants, customized to fit yourself (or someone else).

All of this happens in a supportive, hands-on environment designed to build real confidence.

Students must wear closed toe shoes at all times when in the makerspace.
