A Community Makerspace
2-hour access class gives a general overview of the metalworking processes. Students will gain an understanding of the basic metal shop equipment, basic machine operation, safety protocols, metal-fabrication methods, industry applications, and problem solving. This is the only class needed for use of the shears, vertical band saw, drill press, brake, grinder and vise. All materials are provided within the class fee. An additional class is needed for access to the lathe and milling machines.
If you have not taken MACCLab Orientation. Please arrive 30 minutes before class to do so.
Members, students, and guests must wear closed toe shoes at all times when in the makerspace.
