This machine is an FDM style 3D printer. It uses a solid plastic filament, along with dissolvable support material, to build models layer by layer.
The completion of MACCLab Orientation and Intro to 3D Printing is required to use this machine. Those with previous Ultimaker 3D printing experience who believe they are proficient in using this machine can opt for a private proficiency test with a qualified instructor.
The cost of the print is determined by the weight of the material used. Bring your finished print to the sign in desk for weighing and payment.

Scheduled by the hour. Prints limited to 4 hours during the day. Overnight prints are acceptable for prints ranging from 4 hours to 12 hours. Requests for prints longer than 12 hours are schedule permitting and require approval of the Makerspace Director. All prints longer than 4 hours must be scheduled through the Makerspace Director.
